The show features all of the memorable songs from the animated film, with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, plus five new songs written for the Broadway production.

A story of true love and acceptance between sisters, Frozen JR. expands upon the emotional relationship and journey between Princesses Anna and Elsa. When faced with danger, the two discover their hidden potential and the powerful bond of sisterhood. With a cast of beloved characters and loaded with magic, adventure, and plenty of humor, Frozen JR. is sure to thaw even the coldest heart!

CYT HOUSTON’S FROZEN, JR.
DIRECTOR’S VISION STATEMENT

Listen, I love “Frozen”.

As a grown adult, I probably saw “Frozen” in the theater about 7 times, and I have NO shame!  The music of “Frozen” is utterly captivating, providing numbers ranging from powerful ballads of love, to dance numbers that will be sure to get the audience on their feet.

In this show there are some age differences between the characters. Anna and Elsa must appear older than their younger selves in different moments of the story. Due to the fact the Anna and Elsa will appear older, some other characters they appear with on stage will need to be appropriately close in age and stature as well.

Characters such as Olaf, Sven, Oaken and the Hidden Folk leaders can be played by male or female actors.

Cuts may be possible if the number of people who audition exceed the appropriate amount of cast members for the Crighton stage. Those who may be cut from the show will be invited to participate in the backstage crew. The crew comes to rehearsals and hangs out with friends, but has a different and very important job to do while the production is hitting the stage.

Magic will be key in this show! Our goal for you is to believe in the “magic” that is within yourself as a Child of God.  Remember, YOU are auditioning. Choose a song and monologue that demonstrate the best of your personality and voice. Don’t worry about accents, or necessarily singing a Disney song. Come into the room and be as confident and prepared as you can be.

Remember to relax, take a deep breath in, and Let It Go!

-Josh Marchant, Director
