Based on the 1992 motion picture and inspired by a true story, Newsies features a Tony Award-winning score by Alan Menken. Set in turn-of-the-century New York City, Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teenaged newsies. When titans of publishing raise distribution prices at the newsboys expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against unfair conditions and fight for what"s right! So come SEIZE THE DAY in this fast-paced and fun musical theater class as we combine all the elements of musical theater by singing, dancing and acting our way through Newsies! 

Prerequisite: Must have previously completed at least one class in EACH basic area: drama, voice, and dance ** Please do not register for this class unless prerequisites are met (show participation does not cover these prerequisites)
