Description

What happens when Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, Disgust, and all the emotions inside us take center stage? In this fun and imaginative beginning drama class, young performers will explore the foundations of acting through the colorful world of Inside Out. Through theatre games, storytelling, movement, voice, and character work, students will discover how emotions help shape the characters we create and the stories we tell. Together, we will use facial expressions, body language, imagination, and teamwork to bring big feelings and memorable characters to life in a fun and heartfelt showcase inspired by the world inside our minds.

Teacher:

Mary Ann Lepley

Mary Ann Lepley has loved theatre for as long as she can remember. Whether acting, singing in choirs, directing shows, teaching students, or cheering on young performers, she has always believed in the power of the stage to build confidence, creativity, and connection! Mary Ann holds a master’s degree in elementary teaching, a degree in special education, and a minor in music education. She has served as an elementary school teacher, special education teacher, theatre director, and now education consultant. She brings her experience as an educator, advocate, wife of 22 years, and mom of four into everything she does! Mary Ann is excited to help students explore their imaginations, take creative risks, and discover just how much fun it can be to bring a character to life!
