Description

In this exciting class, young actors will dive into the world of Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and all their favorite toy friends. Through creative games, storytelling and experiences, students will explore what it means to be a toy with a big heart and a sense of adventure. Students will learn stage direction, how to build a character and how to use their talents to tell a story.
Together, we'll bring to life the friendships, challenges, and heroism of Toy Story.

Matthew Hurt

Matt Hurt is a Houston based actor with a BS in Theatre from Lamar University in Beaumont, TX with several years of experience working with Main Street Theater for Youth. He has a passion for helping young performers grow in confidence and creativity. As a professional children’s theatre actor, Matt brings real-world stage experience into the classroom, giving students hands-on insight into acting, storytelling, and character development. He creates a supportive, high-energy environment where students feel safe to take risks, explore their imaginations, and develop strong performance skills. Through theatre games, scene work, and collaborative projects, Matt focuses on building communication skills, teamwork, and self-expression — all while making the process fun and engaging.
