Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka JR. follows enigmatic candy manufacturer Willy Wonka as he stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whomever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy. Four of the five winning children are insufferable brats, but the fifth is a likeable young lad named Charlie Bucket, who takes the tour in the company of his equally amiable grandfather. The children must learn to follow Mr. Wonka's rules in the factory — or suffer the consequences.

Step into a whimsical world of wonder and imagination! Here, chocolate rivers flow and candy trees grow! Willy Wonka Jr. is a delightful musical that promises to transport audiences to a realm of pure enchantment, and is as vibrant and colorful as the candy factory itself!
This show is based on Roald Dahl's beloved novel, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The story follows Charlie Bucket, a kind-hearted boy from a poor family, who wins a golden ticket to tour Willy Wonka's extraordinary chocolate factory. Along the way, Charlie meets a zany cast of characters, from Golden Ticket Winners and their eccentric parents, to the Oompa-Loompas and the Chocolate Wizz himself, Willy Wonka! As you can see, there are MANY parts available for all ages of performers…this show needs lots of kids and those who present as adults!
At the heart of our story is our show verse, Philippians 2:3: "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves." Charlie Bucket, a boy from meager circumstances, never lost hope. He was given a wondrous opportunity, that he seized with humility and courage, allowing him to soar to the heights of his imagination.
My hope is that, through this show, we also learn to seek opportunity with humility and courageous hope! Hope allows us to look forward to a brighter future, even in the face of adversity, and humility helps us to remain grounded and to appreciate the things we have. When we combine hope and humility with courage, we can step out of our comfort zones and embrace our true potential. The result is a vibrant and colorful life filled with endless possibilities!
As we embark on this journey together, I encourage each one of you to embrace your beautiful, vibrant selves! Together, we will make Willy Wonka Jr. a show that leaves audiences believing in the power of pure imagination!
