Class Description

Two narrators attempt to recreate all 209 of the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm in a wild, fast-paced extravaganza. To make it more difficult, they attempt to combine them into one gigantic fable using Rapunzel, Rumpelstiltskin, Hansel and Gretel, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and other more obscure stories like Lean Lisa and The Devil's Grandmother.

Please note:  Class dates will be on Mondays, beginning on February 22nd.  The students will have ONE additional class on Thursday, April 22nd during their regular class time.  This will be time for them to work on their show, on the stage they will be performing on, with any sets and props they will need.  (Consider this tech night, in a way) 

Project Plays will be performed in a Play Festival on April 24 at Klein United Methodist Church.  Two complimentary tickets will be set aside for family of the students in the project play.  Additional seats will be sold.  Students will be called at 4:00pm and the festival will begin at 6:00pm and is expected to have a run time of approximately 2 hours.
***Attendance at the Play Festival is a requirement of registering for this class!

Kimberly Kullberg

Kimberly joined the CYT family in the summer of 2019 as a Summer Camp Counselor and Summer Stock Vocal Director, and she’s so glad she did! She is a graduate of Angelo State University, where she was on scholarship for music. She is now an American History Teacher and assists and vocal directs for the theater department at her high school. Kimberly has served in a number of productions, most recently: Seussical the Musical, Elf, Jr., Peter Pan Jr., and Aladdin JR.
