Mack, a teen from Elizabethan/ Shakespearean England, is transported forward in time by none other than the mischievous Puck from Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night’s Dream to a 21st Century middle school. He finds himself in a very peculiar place indeed and with people that seem to speak an entirely different language! He must get help from the students to travel back to the past where and when he belongs. This is a 30-minute comedy. It includes some Shakespearean Quotes and Shakespearean-type language and many of allusions to the 1980s movie Back to the Future.

Project Play classes are different than our standard courses.
1.  Project Play classes audition and rehearse our play during the regular class period through January 31st (showcase night for other classes), but will also have an additional class on Thursday, February 9th, at Klein United Methodist Church in Spring.  This will be a dress rehearsal and all classes will have an opportunity to run their show on the stage.  It is crucial that ALL students are able to attend that Thursday night class session.
2.  All Project Play classes will perform at our ticketed CYT Houston Project Play Festival on FEBRUARY 11th.  The Festival will be the culminating performance for all of our Project Play classes and a wonderful chance to celebrate the Straight Play genre of theater together.  Registration in this class also includes 2 tickets to the play festival.
3.  Project Play classes have a specific maximum number of students based on the script that is being used.  Once the class is full, we cannot add more spaces.

To participate in this class you must be committed to participating in the live performance on FEBRUARY 11, 2023.

Class dates for this Project Play class are:
November 14, 28
December 5, 12, 19
January 9, 16, 23   NO CLASS ON 1/30 (showcase night for other classes)
February 9 - Mandatory Dress Rehearsal at Klein United CLC
