Class Description

Where were you on September 11, 2001?  Those old enough to remember that Tuesday morning can vividly remember exactly where they were and what they were doing when the news arrived.  This is the story of a Canadian town and their guests on that day that stopped the world.  It’s a story full of hope and goodness put to music! Hang on as we fly into this “New” musical, stamping our feet and eating Canadian Bacon!
This class is for advanced students.  Bring your best Northern accents and we’ll learn about the changes and growth of the modern musical using COME FROM AWAY as our theme!

Prerequisite: Minimum of 2 previous Musical Theater classes OR Minimum of 1 Musical Theater class AND 2 of the following classes in different disciplines: dance, drama, voice ***** Please do not register for this class if you have not met these prerequisite requirements.

Teacher:

Mary Yost

Theater, kids, family and the Lord are what CYT brings so beautifully together and I'm grateful every day to be a part of this organization. I began in CYT as a teacher and have had the honor to teach and direct both shows and camps. I thank my Savior for His love and faithfulness.

Location Notes:

Through a generous gift of space from our community partner, Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital, we have been blessed with beautiful, updated classroom space in a removed wing of the hospital with a separate entrance from the main building. We are so thankful for this gift that allows us to be able to continue offering programming in our CYT Houston East area!
