Description

Hamilton? YES! Why wouldn't we explore the dance techniques of one of the greatest musicals of all time? But is it solely musical theater technique? Not really. The beauty of Hamilton choreography is that it is a true mash-up of all forms of dance. As unique as the story itself., Hamilton incorporates styles from ballet, jazz, hip hop, and even swing to bring this glorious show to life. So come join me and the founding fathers as we bring Hamilton to the stage.
Prerequisite: Minimum of of 2 previous Dance classes **please do not register for this class unless you have met these prerequisites

Teacher:

Emily Bauserman

I love all things dance, but my favorite is tap and ballet. I trained with many dance studios in Louisiana while growing up, and was on pointe by the early age of 9. I was captain of my high school dance line and was on our college dance line at Northwestern State University. I have been a dance instructor for many years. One of the most rewarding parts of being a dance teacher is watching a student go through the process from frustration to delight in learning a new skill. I also hold a certificate in Rhythm Works Integrative Dance that allows me to teach dance skills to children and adults with developmental disabilities. I love to vacation in the mountains of Colorado, and spend time with family. A fun fact about me is that I carried the Olympic torch in 1984 on horseback.
