Description

Distracted by technology and pop culture, children today are beginning to forget the most timeless story characters. When the stories of these classic characters are no longer told, they are discarded to “the land of the lost stories”. Is there any hope for returning to the hearts and minds of children? As long as the characters can overcome their weaknesses, face their fears and help each other! Come explore the lost stories in this beginning drama class as we use this story to help build our knowledge of theater terminology, movement, character building, projection and more!

I have an Masters of Arts in Speech Communication and Theatre from Arkansas State University. I have been a part of many theatre productions but my favorite roles were Gwendolyn in The Importance of Being Earnest, Babe in Crimes of the Heart and Luciana in Boys from Syracuse. I am excited to share my love of theatre with my four children and all the children in CYT.
